MICHIANA CALLIGRAPHY GUILD (Date: 9/2026)
Well, I am late to post these, but we had a very enjoyable MCG Annual Picnic in August. All members were invited but it is difficult to join the fun when they live so far away. However, we had more than just local members arrive in person again this year! Chris and Denise join us from Michigan, Traci from Illinois, and Ginny from Florida who surprised us when she just walked through the door. And for those who could not be present in person, we held the meeting portion as a hybrid meeting.
Pat generously hosted our picnic at her house this
year! It was a rainy day but that did
not bother any of us. She had ample room
for us to arrange dishes for lunch, eat all together and do make and take
crafts. The demonstrations and supplies came
from Chris, Rose, and Anna. They were
fun and gave us all a bunch of laughs….at ourselves doing them.
Our exchange, for those who wanted to participate, was a
quote chosen by the participants but then assigned to another guild member to
write and add any artwork they decided on.
It was so inspiring, that we wanted to share some of the
